Edgar Tang
Edgar is a cancer survivor and award-winning creative whose work in TV, film and motion-picture marketing has received over 40 accolades around the world. These include New York Festivals, PromaxBDA (Global, Arabia & Asia) and film festival nods for his creative collaboration on Singapore filmmaker Ken Kwek's controversial Sex.Violence.FamilyValues. In 2007, while working in Dubai, Edgar was suddenly diagnosed with stage III Hodgkin's Lymphoma and underwent chemotherapy. Upon recovery, he found his way to New York to study film, had a stint in Los Angeles as a production intern, and in a spontaneous turn, ventured into Berlin, where I Hugged The Berlin Patient's adventure begins.
Dzul Sungit
Dzul is a Singaporean freelance director/editor who lives in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He was the editor of two Dutch feature documentaries — Sayed, Soccer Talent, which won Honourable Mention at the Gulf Film Festival in Dubai, and Voordeel van de Twijfel, which premiered at the Dutch Film Festival. He has directed crime dramas for Singapore television such as Mata-Mata, 9 Lives, and CrimeWatch, and won the Best Scriptwriting award at Pesta Perdana in 2017 for his travelogue series, Ole Ole Temasya. In dramatic features, he was the cinematographer for Remi M. Sali’s Konpaku, shown at the 2019 Far East Film Festival in Udine, and art director/editor for another of their feature-film collaboration, Not My Mother’s Baking, which premiered at the 2020 Singapore International Film Festival.
